Entry requirements

The following requirements are a guide only and can differ depending on your course of study and your own personal experience.

Undergraduate

Applicants require WAEC-SSCE grades A - C in five subjects including Maths (English must be a minimum grade C and this is assessed on an individual basis) and a Diploma with a minimum of lower credit from a Federal University or an Ordinary National Diploma (OND) for entry onto year 1.

Postgraduate

Applicants require a Bachelor degree, with grade 2:2 / 50% / Lower Second Class or above. Alternatively, a HND plus a Postgraduate Diploma will also be suitable.

English requirements

  • LJMU can accept WAEC or NECO at grade C6 in English with no time limit (minimum standards – courses may vary)
  • LJMU requires students applying to study BSc or MSc Nursing to have WAEC or NECO grade C5 in English, accepted with no time limit.
