Liverpool Immersive Experience Lab
LJMU’s LIVE Lab can help with your usability research
Based within LJMU’s Faculty of Engineering and Technology, LIVE Lab provides cutting-edge facilities for the development and delivery of usability research through immersive, virtual, mixed and augmented reality technologies.
Unique to the Liverpool City Region LIVE Lab provides an environment for industry and academia to design and study user interaction with products, systems and spaces. The facilities can provide real-time data feedback and further in-depth data analysis, processing and visualisation.
Watch our case study:
Behavioural analysis – Enabling researchers to code all the elements of an interaction and investigate the interactions between them
Mobile eye tracking – Capturing natural gaze behaviour in real-world environments. Gaze can be combined with other data types such as that from biometric devices in a multi-modal approach
Physiological measurements – The quick collection of key physiological data and integrate it with other measures e.g. eye tracking and other overt behaviours
Portable lab – Onsite subject filming, investigating real-world situations and providing immediate feedback
VR eye tracking – Measuring the gaze of the subject as they interact with the scenario adds a vital layer of data to the research
Further details on the specific technologies and their uses will be available shortly.
