Whether you're aiming to work in high performance, clinical, medical, health, exercise or a fitness setting you'll be prepared for the workplace. Applied and world of work skills are embedded in all of our programmes at both an undergraduate and postgraduate level. Our research-informed approach means that you'll benefit from continual improvements and enhancements to applied practice and learning. You'll be encouraged to apply high levels of critical thinking in order to, first understand and then challenge, where appropriate, existing practice. You'll be given opportunities to reflect on your own skill set and your abilities to understand the cultural context of the working environment and how to adapt and engage the practitioners within it. Not only will our excellent teaching set you up for your future career, you'll also undertake relevant placement opportunities to gain real-world experience that is highly regarded by employers.

With our strong links with partners in the sports, fitness, exercise, health and medical sectors, we have a clear understanding of the needs and expectations of employers. This means that your course has been designed with your future employability in mind.

Within the environments of sport, exercise and health there is an increased demand for the professionalisation of staff. Recognising this industry requirement, we have set up a suite of Masters programmes that enhance your skill set and knowledge base and enable you to achieve a level of professionalisation and/or specialisation in your chosen field.
