LCR Enhance Project

Liverpool Business School (LBS) at Liverpool John Moores University managed and delivered the LCR Enhance project across the Liverpool City Region (LCR) which successfully concluded December 2023.

Total project funding was approximately £1.4 million and was part funded by the European Social Fund, as part of the 2014 to 2020 European Structural Investment Funds Growth Programme in England, under Investment Priority Axis 2.1 – Enhancing equal access to lifelong learning for all age groups and Liverpool John Moores University.

The Department for Work and Pensions (and in London, the intermediate body Greater London Authority) was the Managing Authority for the European Social Fund programme.

LCR Enhance delivered across the Liverpool City Region stimulating economic development, investing in supporting skills development, employment and job creation, social inclusion, and local community regenerations.

The project invested in employees from micro-enterprises (1 to 9 employees) and small and medium enterprises. (10 to 249 employees and turnover less than £43 million) as well as those individuals that were excluded (for example carers) realising their management and leadership potential in the workplace.
