In Memoriam: Dr Larry DeNardis

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Honorary Fellow, Dr Larry DeNardis, the former US Congressman who, together with our Ambassador Felllow and former Chairman of Governors, Sir Malcolm Thornton (pictured on the left with Larry), was so instrumental in establishing the University’s partnership with Southern Connecticut State University.

Larry DeNardis joined the University Fellowship during graduation last year; he was presented by Sir Malcolm with a personal citation.

Sir Malcolm comments:

“Larry was one of the finest and most decent men I have known. I shall miss him. He was loved by many and respected by all. It was a privilege to have known him and to be his friend. It is that friendship for nearly 40 years which led to our shared legacy for the relationship between LJMU and SCSU. Rest easy, Larry.”
