January exams to be moved online

We have made the decision to move all examinations scheduled from 4th January online

At LJMU, our priority is making sure that you can continue with your studies safely and we will do everything we can to protect your experience with face-to-face teaching to the end of this year and into the next semester.

In order to continue face-to-face teaching, we have made the decision to move all examinations scheduled from 4th January online.  There are a number of exceptions where there is a professional body requirement or where practical assessments are unavoidable, but the majority of exams will now be online.

As far as possible, the timetable will remain the same but all venues will be removed and on-line arrangements will replace exam rooms.  You don’t have to do anything, you will be contacted by your programme leader with all of the relevant details.

As we are entering into the last week of formal teaching, we want to remind you that the university is open over the holidays.  The student life building is there for you every day as usual, and from 24th December to 3rd January will continue to be open 24/7, including the bank holidays - staff will be on hand during the day if you need help with anything.

We also want to reassure you that if you find yourself in any difficulty, if you have to self-isolate and can’t travel, you are not alone, we have a range of support services, including food boxes and emergency supplies, so please keep in touch and we will make sure you get all of the help you need.

If you have any questions or concerns over the holiday period, you can contact us at IMT@ljmu.ac.uk
