Aurora Women's Leadership Programme reopens to applicants

More places are available on the Advance HE Aurora Women’s Leadership Programme.

Around 100 LJMU colleagues – academic and professional – have benefitted from Aurora, which combines guest speakers, reading material, ‘watch parties’, workshops and action learning sets.

LJMU is sponsoring a limited number of places for 2021/22 and applications must be in by October 29.

Dr Anne-Marie Bartlett, of the Liverpool School of Art and Design, said: “I left the programme feeling equipped with a number of tools, techniques and strategies I can employ to help push my career forward.”

Sharing and networking

Rafaela Heath, from the School of Nursing and Allied Health, said: “The invited speakers and action learning set colleagues were generous sharing their stories, challenges, and strategies. The development tools and exercises have been one of the most positive elements of the programme. I have been using them in my own mentoring sessions.”

And Kerry Noon, Customer Services Manager, in Estates and Facilities Management, said: “I thoroughly enjoyed networking and sharing experiences, knowledge and challenges from both professional services and academic perspectives. The guest speakers were fascinating and the key message was “you never stop learning as a leader!”

NB: You are required to attend all sessions of the programme, so please ensure you can be available on the dates listed.
