Cook Together at LJMU: Free lunch, recipes and supermarket voucher

As part of LJMU’s support with the rising cost of living, LJMU will be relaunching our Cook Together initiative.

As part of the initiative, the Student Advice and Wellbeing team has teamed up with LJMU catering to offer free lunches throughout the month plus giving away vouchers and recipe cards.

The first event will take place at the Student Life Building on Friday 3 February, 12pm with another free lunch at Byrom street, Friday 10 February, 12pm.

As well as free food, the Money Advice Team will be on hand to dish out advice, recipe cards and supermarket vouchers so that students can cook the meals at home themselves.

As part of the initiative LJMU’s Cook Together webpages also have recipes, instructions and video tutorials in order to make tasty recipes that aren’t costly.

The Cook Together initiative is part of LJMU and JMSU’s support with the rising cost of living.

LJMU commits £1 million a year to support students facing financial hardship. This year, we are committing an additional £600,000 to help during the cost of living crisis.

You can find out more about the support and advice from LJMU on our Cost of Living Hub.
