Study opportunities for service children
Supporting service children into university
At LJMU we offer enhanced support for service children - young people who’ve grown up with one or both parents in the Armed Forces - who are considering university study.
We understand the unique challenges service children may face, and that the experience of applying for and going to university may be different to others.
This is why we are committed to helping you to reach your potential as you take the next steps in your education.
Information, advice and guidance
We are pleased to offer additional support to anyone considering study at LJMU so that you can make informed choices about your future.
We can:
- talk to you about your UCAS application
- explain student finance options
- welcome you to an open day or bespoke university taster session
- answer any questions you may have along the way
Contextual offer of study
You could be eligible for a contextual offer of study.
Contextual offers of study help people from all sorts of different backgrounds to progress to higher education.
At LJMU, we may be able to offer service children a contextual offer – or reduced entry requirements to study at LJMU - designed to recognise your potential and support your university journey.
