Sports and activities volunteering

Are you passionate about a sport or activity?

Many students and staff report that engaging in a chosen sport or activity they enjoy helps:

  • build confidence
  • develop a healthy lifestyle
  • make new friends
  • relieve stress

If you would like to use your skills, experience and passion to support and encourage others to participate and enjoy your sport or activity of choice there are many opportunities at LJMU:

Liverpool FC Foundation – Open Goals project

In partnership with the LFC Foundation we have launched an innovative project to support new volunteer opportunities for our students and staff.

Designed as a free mass participation movement with football/multi sports and social outcomes at its core, Open Goals takes inspiration from the ‘parkrun model’ and uses the attraction of Liverpool Football Club. The project is looking to establish a network of family-friendly, high-quality, football and physical activity sessions across Merseyside’s parks, open spaces and traditional pitches.
