Testimonials
The testimonials below share reflections from partners, facilitators and participants, highlighting the impact of the programme on digital literacy, financial inclusion and women’s economic empowerment.
This project is crucial to up skilling women’s digital literacy skills in Edo State. Already, I have seen the project’s impact, namely more women are using mobile payments; they are more confident. The workshop on digital payments for women micro-traders has significant policy and socioeconomic impacts.
On a policy level, participants become advocates for gender inclusive financial regulations, engage with government authorities, and may prompt the initiation of broader digital literacy programs. Socioeconomically, the workshop leads to increased economic productivity, financial empowerment of women, community upliftment, and a reduction in gender disparities.
Positive social dynamics are also fostered, creating a supportive network that strengthens the community fabric. Overall, the project contributes to a more equitable and prosperous society by empowering women in the digital economy.

I was very happy to deliver a workshop presentation titled “Security of Mobile Payment Platforms, Error Resolution and Consumer Protection” on 13 June 2023 at the ICT Agency Hall, John Odigie Oyegun Public Service Academic Complex, Benin City.
Enhancing access to digital and financial payment services for women and minority groups in semi-rural areas of Nigeria through a workshop is indeed a worthwhile initiative.

The workshop was lovely. Women are learning a lot. We learnt about how we can securely use our phones for banking and for other apps. It was interesting. I hope this kind of training will come often.
