Facilities, software and support for disabled users
Specialist facilities
We aim to make all of our library sites as accessible as possible. Our facilities include:
- induction loops
- low level colour multifunctional devices used for printing and photocopying
- scanners
- height adjustable desks
- large letter keyboards
- wrist rests
- mouse pads available
Specialist software
We have specialist software loaded onto PCs in each of the libraries, including Kurzweil and Inspirations (visual learning and thinking software). These PCs can be reserved in advance via PC Bookings.
In addition to this, we have ReadIt at Avril Robarts Library and ClearView+ at Aldham Robarts Library. Please ask at the Hub if you would like to use this software.
