Adventures in Wonderland: The Falcon Stuart and X-Ray Spex archive

Falcon Stuart - photographer, film maker and manager of X-Ray Spex

Falcon Stuart was a photographer and film maker before he moved into the music industry, where he produced and managed the punk band, X-Ray Spex. Falcon Stuart also photographed the band and created artwork for their only album - Germfree Adolescents.

After X-Ray Spex disbanded, Stuart worked with Adam Ant, helping to launch the career of Adam and the Ants. Throughout the 1980s and 1990s, Falcon Stuart worked with other bands (Classix Nouveaux and Amazulu), while setting up Awesome Records - an Independent record label that released albums by Danielle Dax. Falcon Stuart died in 2002 and his archive has been donated to LJMU.
