Eric's: The Pete Fulwell archive

The archive of the iconic Liverpool club

Eric’s Club was a very influential punk/new wave music club in Mathew Street, Liverpool from 1976 to 1980. 

The archive, acquired from Pete Fulwell, one of the managers of the club, contains:

  • documents and reports
  • correspondence and business notebooks
  • photographs
  • designs
  • posters and flyers
  • tickets
  • audio/video tapes
  • press cuttings and music magazines
  • underground press publications
  • ephemera
  • objects
  • documents on business incubation and the contribution of the arts to the local economy



This broad collection includes the definitive archive of Eric’s Club and the complete Eternal Management archive (1983-2005), which includes documentation on the management of Liverpool groups such as The Christians, Black, It's Immaterial and Pete Wylie.

Also included is the Music Industry Development Consultancy archive, which documents Pete Fulwell’s work as head of a consultancy to Liverpool City Council (1989-2000). The consultancy advised on strategies for local music industry development.
