Finding your next home

If you are starting to think about where to live next year, help is at hand. The Accommodation Office website gives useful information about all the various options.

Here’s some things to consider when looking for your accommodation for the next academic year:

Take your time looking for your next student home

When it comes to finding your next student home, patience and research are key. Take the time to view as many properties as you can. This will give you a broader perspective on what’s on offer and help you compare prices, location, facilities, and the overall condition of the property.

You don’t have to move to a shared house or flat

Staying in a hall again has lots of advantages including individual tenancies, all-inclusive rents, central locations and on-site staff to look after your parcels and post. Hall staff will always place current students into flats sharing with others in the same situation. So, if you haven’t yet formed a group of friends to share with, then staying in a hall is a great option.

Make sure your chosen accommodation is Liverpool Student Homes (LSH) accredited

Whatever type of accommodation you choose, it is essential that you book somewhere that is accredited by LSH. Many hall operators and other accredited property owners and letting agents will take part in two Housing Fairs, which all LJMU students are welcome to attend.

Come along to a Housing Fair to find out your options

All LJMU and Liverpool students are welcome to attend the Housing Fairs taking place this semester and next. Either fair is a great chance to research your housing options.

The Housing Fairs take place from 11am to 3pm:
