Thinking about where to live next year?
If you are thinking about where to live next year, then help is at hand.
Whatever type of accommodation you choose, it is essential that you book somewhere that is accredited by Liverpool Student Homes (LSH).
This year Liverpool Student Homes are running two Accommodation Fairs for all students in Liverpool.
The fairs take place from 11am to 3pm:
-
Monday 17 November: Student Life Building, LJMU
-
Tuesday 18 November: Mountford Hall, University of Liverpool
Finding your next home
Remember that you don’t have to move into a shared house or flat. Staying in a hall has lots of advantages including individual tenancies, all-inclusive rents, central locations and on-site staff to look after your parcels. All of the halls used by LJMU for first year students have rooms available for next year too.
Hall staff will always place current students into flats with others in the same situation, so you won’t be sharing with first years again. If you haven’t found a group of friends that you feel comfortable with, then staying in a hall is a better option than signing up for a house with people you don’t know. Staying in a hall can even work out cheaper than living in a shared house, once you take into account longer tenancies, fuel bills and travel costs.
