Law and Justice Careers Fair
Are you interested in a career within law or the criminal justice sector? Join us on Wednesday 19 November, from 1pm to 3pm at the Student Life Building (SLB) for our Law and Justice Careers Fair.
Students from any programme or level of study are welcome to come along to the fair to meet more than 40 employers from a wide range of legal firms and criminal justice organisations. This event is a great opportunity to explore the many different areas of law and discover the specialisms that might inspire you.
Gain valuable insights from professionals across the sector — including legal practitioners, law enforcement agencies, charities, and client-facing support services.
Learn how to begin your career in these fields, pick up application tips directly from employers, and find out which key skills they’re looking for. It’s the perfect opportunity to expand your network, ask questions about gaining work experience, and get advice on entering the profession.
Some organisations will have jobs or placements and other opportunities available, so check out the floorplan and opportunities ahead of the event and get a snapshot of what they have to offer so you can plan your time at the fair.
Inclusivity matters
LJMU is committed to inclusivity. If you have a disability, are neurodivergent, or feel anxious about attending the fair, our Student Futures team and Student Ambassadors are here to provide guidance and support. Simply drop by the Disability Support Stand on the upper ground floor of the SLB for assistance.
Upgrade your CV for the fair
If you need to upgrade your CV before the fair, the Student Futures team hold regular CV Café drop-ins (every Tuesday and Thursday) at both the SLB Careers Zone (2pm to 3.30pm) and Byrom Street Careers Zone (2pm to 3pm). They also hold a weekly careers drop-in (every Thursday 11am to 12noon) at both Careers Zones throughout the year. Check out our drop-in schedule for more details.
Can't make it to these drop-ins and haven't written a CV before? No worries! Head over to the Careers Zone 24/7 to try our CV Builder App to get started, or explore the CV360 App for instant feedback and suggestions on improving your existing CV.
