Introduction
Marybone is a large complex of nearly 900 bedrooms situated at the heart of the City Campus and adjacent to the Avril Robarts Library. There are three distinct parts to the site – Marybone 1, 2 and 3. A recent refurbishment has added a free of charge gym, games room and group study rooms for the use of residents of all parts of Marybone. All flats in Marybone 1 feature shared bathrooms and typically two bathrooms between six residents of each flat. In additions all bedrooms have hand washbasins and small double beds. The bedrooms in Marybone 1 are the cheapest currently available to new LJMU students and hence represent excellent value for such a central location.
Marybone 1 is popular with students undertaking Paramedic Science, Midwifery and Nursing courses, who are all offered a 50 week tenancy as standard at a weekly rent of £85.00.
