Leave Liverpool Tidy and donate unwanted items
Our students’ union, JMSU, is hosting a Leave Liverpool Tidy Day of Action on Monday 11 May to help make your clear‑out that little bit easier (and more sustainable!).
How it works is simple. Gather any items you don’t want to take with you, such as clothes, kitchen equipment, home décor, or unopened tinned food and bring them to the drop‑off point in the Student Life Building between 10am and 4pm. Your donations will then be collected and repurposed.
This year, they’re also focusing on textbooks and books as part of student officer Erin’s Book Campaign.
As a thank you, everyone who donates will receive a delicious free ice cream - perfect for cooling down after all that clearing out.

Be vigilant and secure your accommodation against burglaries
With the recent good weather we have been experiencing, and with people focusing on moving in and out of properties, you are reminded to be extra vigilant and to ensure windows and doors are not left open or unlocked even if you are only leaving your property for a few minutes.
More advice from Merseyside Police is available on their crime prevention webpages.
