Despite being illegal, chhaupadi, the practice of exiling menstruating women and girls from their home – often to a cow shed – is still practised in some areas of Western Nepal. Andy Shackleton has partnered with the School of Nursing to pilot a smarter way of organising large student cohorts in Canvas, using a combination of Groups and Sections to deliver targeted activities and content to different teams. Early feedback from the Nursing Simulated Practice team has been very positive, with the approach credited with helping a current placement run significantly more smoothly. The pilot is part of a wider project to find scalable Canvas solutions for larger cohorts.
