5. Applications open for Research England Policy Support Fund

   LJMU is being allocated funding from the Research England Policy Support Fund (PSF) to support the development of impactful research and engagement activities. Applications of up to £10,000 will be considered and applicants have until 5pm on Monday 10 October 2022 to make a submission.

6. Start-up funding opportunity for new student businesses

   The LJMU Start-up Hub is excited to announce that the new Bathgate Boost award is now open! The £500 award is designed to support students who can demonstrate their business idea. Sitting alongside this funding is a package of support from the Start-up Hub team built around developing your start-up and skills as an entrepreneur. The award is open to all current LJMU students and new alumni who graduated from LJMU during 2023.

7. Queen's New Year's Honours for LJMU Honorary Fellows

   Six LJMU Honorary Fellows have been recognised in the Queen’s New Year’s Honours list 2017.

   LJMU offers a wide range of different services for students – from money advice and study skills workshops to careers guidance and free gym membership.

9. NSS raises £4,500 for charity in three weeks

   Final year students have so far raised a terrific £4,500 for charity by completing the National Student Survey (NSS) in the first three weeks.
