   Senior Lecturer Jeff Young has been shortlisted for the 2020 Costa Biography Prize for his book Ghost Town, a Liverpool Shadowplay.

6. In memoriam: Aldham Robarts

   The LJMU community is deeply saddened by the death of Aldham Robarts, an Honorary Fellow, trustee and passionate supporter of the university.

7. LJMU relaunches campaign for respect on campus

9. In memoriam: Dr Jo Croft

   Dr Jo Croft, senior lecturer in English, died of cancer on 15 January. She was a dearly-loved colleague and teacher at LJMU for nearly 28 years.

    A key initiative to put nature at the centre of planning policy across the Liverpool City Region has been shortlisted for a prestigious national award.
