Liverpool Students' Union helps you to:

Get the most out of student life

Join a student group. Uni is the perfect time to meet other students that share your interests - or dive in to something completely new. LiverpoolSU have 100+ active, student-led groups on offer, each with a unique purpose and diverse set of members. Browse their student groups.

Come to an event. Make amazing memories whilst you’re at LJMU! LiverpoolSU have partnerships across the city and provide a range of events in the best venues, exclusively for LJMU students. Each September there is welcome programme for new students, including Freshers’ Fair, themed club nights and a wide range of day time and evening events. Keep an eye on their events here

Get the most from your course

LiverpoolSU provides students with impartial advice and support on academic issues. If you think your course could be improved, you can use LiverpoolSU's Course Rep system. You could help create positive change by becoming a Course Rep to ensure the views of your peers are heard.

Enhance your CV and earn money

Did you know you could work for LiverpoolSU? There are a range of student roles available, all of which pay the Living Wage. Plus there are volunteer opportunities to help you gain skills and improve your employability.

Represent your fellow students and make a positive impact

Why not get involved in the Liverpool Students' Union and represent your fellow students

Become a Student Officer. Every student at the University can run to become a Student Officer and lead the Student's Union. The team of four officers are voted in each spring by LJMU students to shape the Students’ Union’s work and be the voice of students.

Represent students on a national level. The NUS run a number of annual conferences with student delegates from universities across the UK. As well as the National Conference, there are conferences for specific groups of students, including the Disabled Students, LGBT+ Students, Black Students and Womens Conferences. Sections Conference is for International, Postgraduate, Mature and Part-time students. LJMU students can run in an election with LiverpoolSU and be elected to represent LJMU nationally.
