Who the undergraduate open day is for
Our Open Days are for prospective students interested in studying at Liverpool John Moores University.
If you make an undergraduate application to study with us and receive an offer, we will also invite you to an Applicant Day which typically takes place in March and April each year. If you are an applicant from Northern Ireland, we also offer an Applicant Day in Belfast every March as we are the most popular university in Great Britain for students from Northern Ireland.
If you are a prospective postgraduate student, find out further details on our postgraduate events webpage.
The difference between an Open Day, Applicant Day and Campus Tour event
An open day is a large-scale full-day event that you would typically attend prior to applying. At an open day, you have the opportunity to attend a course session and general talks, chat to staff from our student service teams and view accommodation. Find out more information about our open days.
An applicant day is also a full-day event that is similar to an open day but includes a more in-depth and interactive course session. Applicant days also provide the opportunity to meet staff from our student service teams and view accommodation that has rooms still available at the time of the event. You would be invited to an applicant day if you are an offer holder (depending on your course) and you can book a place by logging into your Applicant Hub.
A campus tour is a smaller scale event and provides an overview of the general campus facilities with a tour led by a current LJMU student. The short tour will be general, rather than course specific, and will include one example of our accommodation. Our student service staff aren't present at campus tours. If you are simply looking to get a feel for the campus, this is a great option. However, if you are looking for more in-depth information or course-specific information, one of the above options may be a better choice for you.
