Cynthia Solomon (1938 - )

  • Solomon was born in Somerville, Massachusetts, in 1938. 
  • She is renowned for her work on artificial intelligence and programming languages for educational uses, in particular for introducing children to fundamental concepts.
  • Solomon co-founded Logo Computer Systems (LCS) Inc.
  • She served as Vice President for Research and Development at LCS when the company was designing the famous Apple Computer Company logo.
  • In later years, she worked for the Atari Corporation and taught computer science at high school level for a number of years.
