Mastering Maritime Law and Business Management (MMLBM)

The Mastering Maritime Law and Business Management (MMLBM) week provides a globally unique educational CPD experience and is supported by the University’s researchers together with experts from the industry.

MMLBM is designed to provide both academic and practitioner content that will be helpful to:

  • combine academic theory with practical, real-world applications.
  • benefit both scholars and industry professionals.
  • gain insights that bridge the gap between maritime law and business management practices.

The course content will provide the managers in the maritime industry to undertake broader responsibilities within their field of expertise and beyond.

This could also be equally useful for government, classification society, shipyard or drydock, harbour and port authority officials, wishing to learn about the industry, its processes, and its challenges from regulatory as well as management perspective.

The MMLBM week is planned to be held at the James Parsons Building, 3 Byrom Street, Liverpool L3 3AF.

The five-day Workshop will provide:

  • expert knowledge by subject-matter experts
  • face-to-face sessions
  • handouts for all lectures
  • tea and coffee and hot or cold lunches each day

All sessions are designed to promote knowledge-sharing, encouraging participants to discuss their own challenges and practices while debating best practices and research needs.
