Legal and Governance Services raise nearly £300 through Claire House bake sale

We just wanted to extend our thanks to our colleagues in the Legal and Governance Services teams (Legal, DPO, Secretariat) for raising just shy of £300 for our charity partner Claire House Children’s Hospice by selling cakes.

The teams came together to take part in the charity’s Butterfly Bake initiative, held across two days in April at Exchange Station, raising £298.80.

In a thank-you email from Harry Boshell, Partnerships Manager at Claire House, he praised the efforts of the team and explained how the funds will make a difference for local seriously ill babies, children, young adults and their families.

Harry wrote: “This is brilliant, thank you so much for organising this for us. The funds raised could pay for two full days of Butterfly support for a bereaved family. When a baby, child or young person sadly passes away, those next few weeks are some of the hardest for the family. Their child can come and rest in our Butterfly Suite for up to 7 days, allowing the family time to say goodbye to their loved one before the funeral, whilst being supported practically and emotionally by our team."

Please pass on a massive thank you from Claire House!
