We have a range of digital careers tools available to enable you to work on vitally important employability and transition skills at your own pace, in your own time, both on or off campus.

Careers Zone 24/7 includes a number of interactive careers tools to help you to prepare for the jobs market: 

Interview Simulator Tool - allows you to take a mock interview and test yourself with interactive questions and best practice answers from experienced professionals to build up your confidence and competence. 

CV Builder Tool - allows you to create an expert CV within minutes and download into multiple templates. Watch videos of employers explicitly stating what they need to see in each section of your CV. 

Career Newsroom - features thousands of articles on careers and employability from leading global publications, updated every week with a newsletter function built in. 

Job Search - allows you to search for jobs available to LJMU students only as well as LJMU-funded internships.  You can also search for millions of jobs, in over 50 countries, from thousands of job sites, newspapers, recruiters and company career sites using the Indeed Jobs search tool. 

CV Builder tool and Interview Learning Zone - Understand what employers look for in CVs and interviews. Each module includes a fast class video, employer videos, e-learning, new articles and written articles. Modules include Planning your CV, Writing your CV, Checking your CV, The Interviewer, Interview Training and Interview Preparation. 

Psychometric testing and assessment centre practice portal (note: you need to create a separate account to use this) - practise ability tests, personality questionnaires, numerical tests, e-tray exercises, interview questions and a wealth of other assessment tools used by graduate employers free of charge. The portal features tools which monitor your progress and give expert feedback reports, allowing you to see your areas of strength and development so you can focus your practice before doing the test for a real application. 

Goinglobal Database - Explore opportunities to work overseas through the Goinglobal database which is free for LJMU students to access. It contains country career guides, information on visas and local culture, employer directories and much more.
