About LJMU-funded internships
LJMU offer our second and third year students (Levels 5 & 6) the opportunity to undertake an internship with a local organisation, working on a suitable project or piece of work that will enhance their employability skills and career insight. Students are paid a living wage for their time via Unitemps - LJMU's very own on-campus recruitment agency.
Internships are sourced by the LJMU Employer Engagement Team and will be advertised via the job board in LJMU’s ‘Careers Zone 24/7’ platform, as well as through Unitemps. Use the keyword 'LJMU Internships Programme’ to find internship opportunities on these sites. There will be three rounds this year, so check back regularly if you can't find anything that initially appeals to you.
"My LJMU internship at Sound City was a fantastic experience. It was great to work with others in a large crew on a very exciting project. Being in the thick of the action with only one opportunity to get things right was a huge adrenaline rush and something that cannot be replicated in the classroom. I was also able to work with some fantastic students who I’ve kept in touch with since and have had other opportunities for work off the back of that."
