LJMU Internships
About LJMU-funded internships
LJMU offer our second and third year students (Levels 5 & 6) the opportunity to undertake a paid 'Discovery Internship' with a local organisation, working on a suitable project or piece of work that will enhance their employability skills and career insight. Students are paid a living wage for their time and internship can be completed alongside your studies.
Discovery Internships are sourced by the LJMU Careers, Employability & Enterprise team and will be advertised via Unitemps. These 20-day, paid internships will be with a local organisation working on a real life project that you can really get stuck into.
Use the keyword 'Discovery Internship' and select the LJMU branch of Unitemps to find internship opportunities on the site; alternatively use the link below to view the internships.
The current round of internships (Spring/Summer 2022) are open for applications from 28 March 2022 and will close for applications on Friday 8 April. Interviews will take place from 19 April 2022 with anticipated start dates from 16 May 2022.
Please note: if you intend to apply for a Discovery Internship you must be registered with LJMU's Unitemps branch and have completed a right to work check.
"My LJMU internship at Sound City was a fantastic experience. It was great to work with others in a large crew on a very exciting project. Being in the thick of the action with only one opportunity to get things right was a huge adrenaline rush and something that cannot be replicated in the classroom. I was also able to work with some fantastic students who I’ve kept in touch with since and have had other opportunities for work off the back of that."
