1. Menopause matters celebration and future initiatives

   An update on the work happening at LJMU to better support staff going through the menopause.

2. Empowering staff to support PGRs from racially minoritised groups

   Academic and professional services staff who support PGRs have a bespoke training and development opportunity designed by the educational charity Grit Breakthrough. Using a coaching approach to support PGRs is a two-day online coaching workshop, which will run across two days in November.

   Staff can now order milk through Catering Services for their team to collect once a week.

7. Training for managers: disabilities and long-term health conditions, including mental health

   LJMU’s Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) Team, are proud to be working in partnership with coaching and training specialists; Result CIC (Community Interest Company) and are pleased to offer LJMU Managers, Programme Leaders and Personal Tutors (those directly responsible for staff/students) the opportunity to participate in a half day Training for Managers of Staff with Disabilities & Long-Term Health Conditions Including Mental Health, workshop.

8. LJMU accelerating partnership talks with FPT School of Business & Technology (FSB), Hanoi

   The Head of International Partnerships and International Partnerships Manager held talks in Hanoi with representatives of FPT School of Business & Technology to support the development of LJMU's Transnational education ventures in Vietnam.

9. Exclusive to LJMU – part-time or summer student internships and graduate placements available now

   An exciting range of part-time or summer internships are available for current students to apply for now, along with a host of graduate placements for LJMU graduates who left the University from 2020 onwards.

10. Research active staff urged to join focus groups

    Research active staff are being invited, by the LJMU Concordat Steering Group, to participate in a focus group on the research environment and culture at LJMU.
