   LJMU lifted the Outstanding University Entrepreneurship Award trophy at this year’s Times Higher Education Awards.

2. Senior Lecturer wins Royal College of Nursing Award

   Senior Lecturer in Adult Nursing, Ebenezer Banahene, has won the North West award for Outstanding Contribution to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion from the Royal College of Nursing.

   Liverpool John Moores University scooped University of the Year at the Educate North Awards 2017.

4. LJMU receives Collaborative Award for Teaching Excellence and National Teaching Fellowship

   LJMU is one of 15 teams to win the Collaborative Award for Teaching Excellence (CATE) and an LJMU academic has also been awarded one of 54 National Teaching Fellows (NTF). Dr Philip Denton, Principal Lecturer at the School of Pharmacy and Biomolecular Sciences, is the recipient of the NTF and the paramedic team at LJMU’s Schools of Nursing and Allied Health received the CATE.

5. Screen School students scoop Royal Television Society award

   A comedy-horror film produced by students at the LJMU Screen School has been named the winner in the Comedy Entertainment category at the Royal Television Society North West Student Television Awards.

6. Architecture graduates gain recognition at national student designer awards

   Ethan and Abbie impressed the Association of Project Safety judges with their submissions.

7. National award for Windrush advice

   LJMU's Legal Advice Centre has won ‘Best New Pro Bono Activity’ at the 2025 Law Works and Attorney General Student Pro Bono Awards.

   The Santander Career Support Award 2025-26 is a new initiative to support students with £250 to help make that next career opportunity a reality.

9. GRADitude Award

   For the first time, this year’s Amazing Teaching Awards from JMSU will feature a new award (the GRADitude Award) for a member of staff who had or is having a huge, positive impact on a final year student’s experience at LJMU.
