Rhian Griffith was LJMU’s Racing Team Manager in 2015 during her time studying for her master’s in mechanical engineering.
Phil has worked at LJMU for over 16 years. He’s currently the Student Inclusion Lead within the Student Advice and Wellbeing Team and has recently started a new role as Diversity and Inclusion Associate Dean for Professional Services. Since 2010, Phil has also led on organising and representing LJMU at the annual Liverpool Pride March.
Angela was awarded an LJMU Honorary Fellowship in 2018 for her tireless work as a mental health campaigner, speaking out and challenging the stigma of suicide.
Shaun is a dedicated member of the catering team at LJMU and was honoured with the Outstanding Professional Services award at the JMSU Student Experience Awards 2023, alongside the late Colette Dalton, a beloved colleague.
Beth graduated with a degree in sports science in 2007 and was in the very first class of scholars in the Sports Scholarship programme that launched in 2004. She is renowned as Britain’s greatest-ever female gymnast.
Aldham Robarts, an Honorary Fellow, trustee and passionate supporter of the university. Two out of LJMU’s three library spaces are named after Aldham and his wife Avril who generously made donations towards the building of both key student spaces after the incorporation of the university in the early ’90s.
