  6. Ana Armada Bras: Sustainable Building Technology

    Ana’s lab works on transforming waste products into new civil engineering resources. The team uses bio-based waste from agriculture and industry to make new construction resources with that have resilient, self-healing properties.

  7. Rio Boothe

    Rio Boothe is an LJMU student and a para-athlete. He competes in athletics with the Manchester Harriers and with the LJMU Athletics Team. He’s a real role model for others with disabilities and is striving to raise awareness about the challenges disabled people face when trying to access sport.

  8. Professor Denise Barrett-Baxendale MBE

    Denise is a prominent woman in sport, previously holding roles at Everton Football Club and the club’s official charity, Everton in the Community. She gained her PhD at LJMU, is an Honorary Fellow and took part in the 24th series of our Roscoe Lectures in 2021.
