Caroline Haslett
- Haslett was born in August 1895 at Worth, Sussex.
- Her father was an engineer who fuelled her interest in tools and machinery.
- She was one of the founding members of the Electrical Association for Women whose slogan was “Emancipation from drudgery”.
- Haslett advocated the use of electrical power and appliances in the home to free women from household chores, enabling them to pursue careers.
- She is known for her influential work in the electrical and professional world for women in the industry, being honoured with a damehood in 1947.
