Marion Nestle (1936 - )
Nestle completed her MSc Public Health and PhD in Molecular Science from University of California, Berkeley. - She has conducted extensive research to examine scientific, economic, and social influences on food choice and obesity, with an emphasis on the influence of food industry marketing.
- Nestle has been hugely influential and, in 2013, was ranked as the second most powerful nutritional advocate in the US (after Michelle Obama).
- A winner of countless awards and author of six widely recognised books, she has explored issues around the effects of food production on nutrition.
