Naira Hovakimya

• Hovakimya is a mechanical engineer and Inaugural Director of Intelligent Robotics Laboratory at the  University of Illinois.
• She holds both the W. Grafton and Lillian B. Wilkins professorships of Mechanical Science and Engineering.
• Recognized for her contributions in the field of control theory, she has co-authored books, chapters, and more than 400 conference and journal papers.
• A holder of six patents, she is a member of various professional bodies and the co-founder of IntelinAir, an aerial imagery analytics company.
• Her extensive list of honours includes the Humboldt prize for lifetime achievement.
