Patricia Daley
Daley was the first in her family to attend university, obtaining a PhD in Human Geography from University of Oxford in 1989. - In 1996, she was the first black woman to be appointed a lecturer at the University of Oxford.
- She was awarded a seminar grant by the National Environmental Research Council (NERC) on African Environments in 2005.
- In 2014, Daley received the James Blaut award from the Association of American Geographers.
- Daley was a consultant for the documentary Rawanda: The Forgotten Tribe, covering the genocide against the Tutsi tribe.
- She appointed as the Vice-Principal and the Helen Morag Fellow at Jesus College, Oxford.
