Ruth Winifred Howard (1900 - 1970)
Attended Simmons College and the University of Minnesota’s Institute of Child Development.- Was the first Black woman to receive a Ph.D. in psychology.
- Specialised in developmental and clinical psychology, nursing education, and social work.
- A member of the American Psychological Association, International Psychological Association, and the International Council of Women Psychologists.
- Was a pioneer for women in psychology.
