Rt Hon Justine Greening to deliver next LJMU Roscoe Lecture

'The critical role of universities in driving regional growth'

LJMU’s has announced its next Roscoe Lecture will take place 5pm, Tuesday 24 June, delivered by The Rt Hon Justine Greening.

The public, partners, staff and students are all invited to attend the free lecture at St George’s Hall, Liverpool, which will examine the critical role of universities in driving social mobility and building inclusive growth and highlight how higher education institutions can lead regional transformation by working in partnership with government, business, and communities.

Justine will focus on the importance of place-based strategies and how collaboration between universities, Combined Authorities, local stakeholders and employers can level the playing field for disadvantaged young people, and why now is the moment to forge a shared, long-term vision for education and economic renewal.
