AI Academy

The AI Academy brings together staff, students and partners to support the responsible and practical use of artificial intelligence across the university, helping to enhance education, develop skills and encourage innovation.

Subgroups

The AI Academy is supported by five specialist subgroups, each focusing on a key area of AI development and adoption across LJMU.

Staff development

Supports staff to build the knowledge, confidence and practical skills needed to use AI effectively and responsibly within their roles.

Teaching and learning

Explores how AI can enhance teaching, learning and assessment while supporting students to develop the skills needed for an AI-enabled future.

Ethics and governance

Provides guidance on the responsible, ethical and transparent use of AI, helping to ensure its adoption aligns with university policies, values and good practice.

Data and infrastructure

Focuses on the technology, systems, data and digital infrastructure required to support the secure and effective use of AI across Liverpool John Moores University.

Research and innovation

Supports and promotes AI-related research, collaboration and innovation, connecting expertise from across LJMU and exploring opportunities for external partnerships and real-world impact.
