FeedbackFruits

FeedbackFruits is a collection of teaching and learning tools that are fully integrated with Canvas. They have been designed to effectively engage students in their learning whilst being very straightforward to implement and manage. For more information and inspiration on how to use FeedbackFruits have a look at their Learning Design Community to see how different educators have used these tools in their teaching.

Currently, we are promoting seven FeedbackFruits for our staff to use in their teaching:

  • Interactive Document
  • Peer Review
  • Comprehension
  • Interactive Video
  • Interactive Audio
  • Self-Assessment of Work
  • Group Formation

Video overviews and guidance on setting up each of these tools can be found on the FeedbackFruits YouTube Channel. To trial how these tools work you can enrol yourself as a student in our TEL Canvas space where there are examples of each of the tools.

Adding a FeedbackFruits tool into Canvas is very straightforward.

  1. Select the ‘+ Assignment’ button in your Canvas course
  2. Select the plug icon then ‘View all’ button on the HTML editor (instructions) toolbar
  3. Select FeedbackFruits
  4. You will be redirected to the FeedbackFruits interface. Follow the prompts to create your activity.

Please note – before uploading PDF articles or chapters into FeedbackFruits or Canvas, staff should make a request via the Digital Scanning Service. The Digital Scanning Service facilitates these requests ensuring the licence terms and conditions are adhered to, including:

  • Designated staff scanning texts
  • Copyright compliance
  • Ensuring secure authentication
  • Maintaining records for Copyright Licensing Agency audit purposes
