    Research within the Contexts of Human Evolution Group involves archaeological, palaeontological and environmental analyses of human evolution. Our research focuses on mammalian evolution, hominin behaviour and ecology, and patterns of faunal and floral distribution.   5. Forensic anthropology

    The Forensic anthropology group is committed to the development of protocols and guidelines to increase the reliability of the recovery, documentation and analysis of human remains. We provide casework consultancy for forensic anthropological analysis, facial approximation and mass grave excavation.   6. Human variation and adaptability

    Our interest lies in the evolution of animal societies and the interactions that occur within these societies and their link to emotion, cognition and communication. We primarily study primates (including humans) but also other species including birds.   9. Expertise in the Public Health Institute

    The Public Health Institute's expertise lies in the subject areas: drugs, tobacco, alcohol, population health, violence and unintentional injury, sexual and reproductive health, international public health, intelligence and surveillance, and the environment and sustainability.

  10. Population health

    The Public Health Institute provides the expertise to inform the delivery and development of interventions and services to those programmes that address food, physical activity, women's health, health of refugees and asylum seekers, mental health and employment.
