Nikita was a member of the England women’s football squad, the Lionesses, that won the 2022 UEFA Women’s Euro Championships. She was previously supported by LJMU under the Talented Athlete Scholarship Scheme (TASS) before becoming a sport development student alongside her blossoming professional football career which now sees her play for Manchester United. In 2023, she was announced as one of ten new LJMU honorary fellows to celebrate our 200th anniversary.
Alexandria is the 2023/24 Vice President for Community and Wellbeing at Liverpool at John Moores Students’ Union (JMSU) and is advocating for students’ mental health concerns to continue to be a key focus of the university’s support services.

He started his career in Professional Services as an apprentice before eventually gaining a degree - the first person in his immediate family to do so. Alexandra has been a friend of LJMU since 2015 when she moved to the UK, and alongside her own studies, she has played a key role in forging a relationship between the university and the growing Roma community in the city.
Dhiya Al-Jumeily is a professor of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and has been teaching at LJMU for more than 26 years. He was awarded an OBE in The Queen’s New Year Honours list of December 2020 for his service to scientific research.
Razvan embraced university life during his policing studies degree, having moved to the UK from Romania and being inspired by a coffee shop customer to work in the world of policing. He was a Student Advocate, supporting others to get into higher education and will now go on to serve with Merseyside Police taking his learned experience, and compassion for others, into his career.
