  3. Dr Pooja Saini

    Pooja is a Reader in Suicide and Self-Harm Prevention in the School of Psychology, having joined LJMU in 2018. For more than a decade, her dedication to researching suicide has taken her out of the lecture theatre and into the field, playing a vital role in helping to establish James’ Place, the first safe, accessible service for suicidal men in community settings.

    The main thing to remember is that if you need help, you just need to ask for it. The university employs staff that can signpost you to external services, you just need to ask if you are not sure where to turn.

    The School of Law and Justice Studies is located in the £37.6 million Redmonds building, which provides three impressive lecture theatres, as well as teaching and seminar rooms, IT suites, social learning spaces, roof terraces and a Starbucks café.

  8. Menstrual health research – Qualitative Analysis in Action

    Dr Kay Standing and Dr Sara Parker are currently completing a British Academy Small Grant Project on re-usable sanitary towel projects, assessing their wider impact on women's health and wellbeing in Nepal. Find out more about this research.
