Working in partnership with Mersey Forest, LJMU have developed the Natural Curriculum, which is already gaining a strong local and regional reputation. Gordon plays a key role in Liverpool’s lively theatre scene as the Artistic Director and CEO of Unity Theatre, a venue that started life in the 1930s and continues to explore current societal matters through its performances. As an LJMU drama alum, he continues to support current students who were once in his shoes and is proud to have many new graduates working at Unity today.
Michael is an alum of LJMU, having completed his undergraduate studies in sport science and postgraduate studies in public health here. Today he is the Deputy CEO of Everton in the Community, Everton Football Club’s charitable arm that supports thousands of people across Merseyside, often from the most vulnerable and underprivileged local communities, and creates life-changing opportunities.
Alexandra has been a friend of LJMU since 2015 when she moved to the UK, and alongside her own studies, she has played a key role in forging a relationship between the university and the growing Roma community in the city.
Business and law foundation year student Demitri moved from Afghanistan to study in Liverpool with LJMU. He is one of hundreds of international students that study here every year and find a home in our city.
