Intrepid engineering students are hoping to race LJMUs first electric racing car around the world-famous Formula 1 track in July.
LJMU invited speakers from different backgrounds to discuss their views on the issues that are still apparent in today’s society. The conference, Critically Thinking About Race, Religion and Belief/Non Belief was presented to a packed lecture theatre of academics, students and professionals.
Five candidates have put themselves forwards for the position and voting will take place between Monday 13 and 27 March.
Following the call for nominations, eight candidates are standing for election, with the election period opening on Monday 5 June and running until Monday 19 June.
Final year undergraduate students (level 6) have until Sunday 15 March to apply.
