  2. Forensic research networks

    The Forensic Research Institute run six research networks covering a wide range of specialisms, each competing nationally and globally for funding to pioneer cutting-edge scholarship.

  3. Global Citizen (Volunteering) - Go abroad

    The LJMU Go Global fund allows students to undertake international projects, from existing programmes such as Camp America or TEFL (teaching English as a foreign language) courses, to individual projects students have designed themselves.   5. Dex Wright

    Dex is a psychology and criminology student and the founder of JMSU’s Boxing Society. The society has not only brought students together in the world of sport, but has helped to form a community where people are also using boxing to support their mental health.

  6. Phil Bridges

    Phil is the founder of a Liverpool-based mental health social enterprise called The Mind Map, helping to improve people’s mental health through counselling, training and awareness. It was his own experiences growing up that influenced his decision to set-up the organisation.

  7. The Right Honourable Professor the Lord Alton of Liverpool

    Lord Alton had a long career in politics as an MP for Liverpool before becoming the founder of our Roscoe Lecture Series - delivering three lectures himself since the series began - and was a Professor of Citizenship at the university for some 20 years.
