  2. Ruth Mwandumba

    Former Sports Scholar Ruth is a champion in the sport of target shooting, the first Black female athlete to represent England and become English Champion in the sport and continues to get support from LJMU through its Talented Athlete Scholarship Scheme. She has hopes of competing in the Olympic and Commonwealth Games.

    The Search, Scene and Discovery Network specialises in processes involved in the search for and discovery of human and/or animal remains/traces using technology including drones, robots and sensors.

  4. Dr Scott Foster

    Scott is the PhD programme leader with responsibility for the doctoral students in our business school. Having followed a path into the miliary at just 16, gaining only one GCSE, Scott came to study for a degree at LJMU later in life, eventually gaining a PhD before becoming a member of staff and now inspiring others to follow in his footsteps.

  5. Art and the Humanities

    The School of Humanities and Social Science has worked in partnership with Fine Art in the School of Art and Creative Industries to develop a new art project, inspired by the research, teaching and culture of the School.

    Lucy Day is a Research Impact Officer within our Research and Innovation Services here at LJMU. She graduated from LJMU in 2002 in psychology and biology and has been working at LJMU since 2010.

  7. Henry Humphreys ‘Humph’ Jones 1878 - 1971

    Principal of our School of Pharmacy in the early 1900s overseeing the school’s greatest period of expansion; LJMU is now one of the oldest providers of pharmacy education in Europe.
