1. International Scholarships awarded to 16 students

   16 students were presented with their international scholarships this week at a reception in the Student Life Building.

2. Start-up funding opportunity for new student businesses

   The LJMU Start-up Hub is excited to announce that the new Bathgate Boost award is now open! The £500 award is designed to support students who can demonstrate their business idea. Sitting alongside this funding is a package of support from the Start-up Hub team built around developing your start-up and skills as an entrepreneur. The award is open to all current LJMU students and new alumni who graduated from LJMU during 2023.

3. New corporate charities

   We are delighted to announce our two new Corporate Charities - Claire House Children's Hospice and The Girls Network.

4. Academic Registry Roadshows February and March

   The Student Governance Team will deliver the next roadshow on Friday 24 February, Redmonds Building 2.33 and Registry Services will deliver a session on Tuesday 7 March, SLB 3.02.

6. Students undertake harm reduction field research in Slovenia

   Final-year Criminology and Criminology & Psychology students spent five days doing project work on harm reduction, crime control, and social justice.

7. LJMU leading the way in the use of VR in business education

   Academics from Liverpool Business School have used the immersive learning techniques on modules within the MSc Management and Digital Business programme.

8. New way to request visitor parking and out of hours or security access

   Campus Support (Security) now has a number of staff request forms available via the LJMU HelpMe portal, to help with the management of requests.

9. Meet the Academic Success team

   Head to one of our libraries between 1pm and 3pm, Monday 10 to Friday 14 November, for refreshments and assignment help.

10. Revolutionising digital technology solutions through SME collaboration

    A unique business support programme, set to power a digital manufacturing revolution in the North West, is tapping into the next generation of innovative minds through collaboration with the LJMU Faculty of Engineering and Technology.
