On 17th March 2021 Helen Sharman, the first British person in Space and first British Astronaut will give a talk at Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU). Helen will be speaking about her life and career as a scientist and as the first British astronaut.

LJMU graduate Brian Sheil has achieved a major professional milestone after attending the 68th Grammy Awards in Los Angeles at the weekend as an official voting member of the Recording Academy.
All Professional Services staff have until 5pm on Monday 27 March to vote for their preferred Staff Governor candidate.
Five candidates have put themselves forwards for the position and voting will take place between Monday 13 and 27 March.
Following the call for nominations, eight candidates are standing for election, with the election period opening on Monday 5 June and running until Monday 19 June.
